As much as we love our newest designs, shining a light on some past favorites showcases their timeless style. Summerhill™ is no exception, which is why we’ve selected it for this Design Spotlight. A classic light quartz countertop from the Coastal Collection™, Summerhill is a versatile quartz design and an obvious crowd-pleaser.

Summerhill is a neutral countertop that is anything but subtle. While the cream backdrop, soft gray, and flecks of black fit into any room, a bold pattern flows across its surface making it a statement piece. Summerhill’s natural movement and shimmer make it a stunning maintenance-free granite alternative.

Traditional Kitchen Charm: Made to Entertain
This kitchen from InUnison Design and John Kraemer & Sons, featured in the 2017 ASID MN Showcase Home, pairs a Summerhill kitchen island with a Newport™ perimeter. The pristine white Newport countertops complement Summerhill’s eye-catching pattern.
Keeping things traditional with blue and white, the Summerhill island is a focal point when paired with Newport perimeter tops.
The homeowners wanted fresh colors and an inviting floorplan that could host plenty of people. The kitchen blends seamlessly into the living and dining spaces, continuing the blue and white palette and allowing guests to move between rooms with ease. A 15-foot kitchen island with Summerhill countertops, a pop of gray-blue color, and plenty of organized storage makes for a beautifully efficient centerpiece. Also on the homeowners’ wish list: elegance with practicality. They wanted high-end materials that could withstand everyday use. Even as a light countertop, Summerhill is stain resistant and easy to clean.
Timeless Light Countertop Choice: Soft Grays
Gray countertops are a classic choice because of the neutral color, versatility, and ability to mix and match. A lighter design, like Summerhill, can open up a space while cloud gray veins give the illusion of more surface area on kitchen islands and perimeters. It fits into any style, whether your home is coastal, farmhouse, modern, or traditional.
Summerhill and White Cliff™ add an airy feel in this space by Eurodale Design + Build and Distinctive by Design.
If you’re inspired by this dream kitchen, try combining Summerhill with pale blue or bright white cabinetry in your home. A simple backsplash, like white subway tile, will also keep the focus on this beautiful design. While these designers chose White Cliff for the lower level of the island, Pendle Hill™ and Weybourne™ also pair well with Summerhill.
Summerhill pairs with soft neutrals, beachy fabrics, and blonde woods in this coastal moodboard.
