The Bethany Beach Ocean Suites Residence Inn by Marriott, located in Bethany Beach, DE, features a stunning installation of Rose Bay™ completed by the team at Coastal Countertops.

Glenn Kross, a well-known stone industry executive with over two decades of experience, leads Coastal Stone Group. Coastal Stone Group is an umbrella entity comprising Coastal Countertops, a fabrication business that serves builders, remodelers, designers, and homeowners in Maryland and Delaware, and Coastal Quartz Solutions, a national partner in the fabrication of stock vanity tops and commercial cut-to-size projects. Under his leadership, the company has carved a niche for itself with both regional and national clientele creating a bevy of opportunity and growth.

Coastal Stone Group, recently honored as Fabricator of the Year by Stone World, is entering into a new phase of its business, transforming from “that granite place.” This new phase includes the construction of an 85,000-square-foot facility. The first phase concentrated on consolidating operations under one roof; phase two will reveal a new showroom, corporate headquarters, and an indoor slab yard. These developments mark a promising future for this highly regarded Cambria partner.

The new showroom will have vignettes inspired by innovations Cambria showcased at the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) over the past two years including a fluted island and barn door–style sliding quartz backsplash. “The great thing about our industry is you never stop learning,” says Kross. “And when you think you have a good base of knowledge, and then you see what Cambria shared at KBIS, you think, ‘wow, I would have never thought of that.’”

In addition to staying on top of the trends, the people are paramount at Coastal Stone Group. Kross values his long-standing team members, especially his leadership team of Sarah Nicholas, Jeff Campbell, Joe Nicholas, Kyler Woodland, and Cindy Williamson, recognizing their pivotal roles in fostering a robust business. Guided by a servant leadership philosophy, Kross champions a culture of integrity and mutual respect, instilled by his family upbringing. It is this shared vision among his team that he believes has been a key driver in their overall success.

Not only is Kross’ focus on his own people but also on their customers. By focusing on high service and unwavering dedication to quality, Coastal Stone Group has garnered customer accolades and consumer confidence. Its significant growth over the past two years is evidence that the plan is working. “I look at it this way,” says Kross, “Do we really just make countertops? We look at [customers’] faces when someone gets a brand-new kitchen, a fresh start—they just invested a significant amount of money in a renovation. We cut more than rectangles and squares. We complete someone’s vision that they have dreamt about and invested in. And that service model is what we want to achieve—high service, high reward—and the accolades will come with that. That is what attracted us to Cambria, this is our shared vision.”

With quartz dominating their portfolio, Kross credits Cambria’s commitment to them as a partner and their drive toward excellence for their exponential growth in this segment. As most things go, success is a two-way street. Cambria District Manager Matt Dawson says of Kross, “He is a man of his word. If Glenn says he is going to do it, you can put your money on it getting done. That is the type of partner we love at Cambria.”

It is clear to see the partnership with Cambria isn’t just about products, it’s a shared dedication to consumer confidence and satisfaction at all levels of the business. With dedicated employees, a new building, and cutting-edge technology, Coastal Stone Group is not just cutting rectangles and squares, they’re shaping dreams and enriching lives, one countertop at a time.
