In a renovation project featured in Cambria Style magazine, design partners Jean Stoffer and her daughter Grace Start, tailored this Dutch Colonial home to casual-glam perfection. The design elements are not only stylish, they're thoughtfully considered to accommodate the lifestyle of a young family. Practical strategies included un-upholstered seating in dining areas, dirt-disguising patterned floor tile with colored grout in the mudroom, and maintenance-free Cambria quartz surfaces throughout. The Cambria quartz design selected for the kitchen was Brittanicca™ in a matte finish. A custom design hit is the backsplash—two sliding slabs milled to glide over walnut shelving intended for storing oils and spices.

We wanted the classic look of honed marble but with greater durability. Cambria Brittanicca in a matte finish delivered in spades.

According to Stoffer, layers of interest are what give any space life and personality. She used this technique to add character to The Bradbury Cafe, which is basically ambience-central, within her Stoffer Homeopens in a new tab retail store. This well-designed cafe combines textures and finishes along with vintage accents and quality light fixtures, cabinet hardware, and a durable Cambria quartz countertop.

Mixing old and new pieces—an antique communion table as the base of the coffee bar with Cambria on its surface, for example—gives the cafe a comforting, collected look.

In a creative collaboration between Jean Stoffer and Cambria, the Stoffer Home Morris Island worktableopens in a new tab and all vanities in the Stoffer Home Bathroom Vanity Collectionopens in a new tab can be topped with five different Cambria designsopens in a new tab personally selected by Jean. This expands the ease of access to high-quality countertops so that homeowers and designers can more easily create bespoke spaces with classically designed pieces that are both beautiful and durable.

I’m aware of quality differences in quartz. We deliver a quality product and I just really want anything we’re associated with to have that same high standard.
