#5: Stone Walls Are Having a Moment

More and more interior designers are taking quartz to new heights because it elevates the appearance of vertical surfaces throughout a home. #4: Breakfast with the Stars

Homes in Los Angeles may occasionally have a celebrity connection, and this house, perched above Sunset Boulevard, comes with a storied and star-studded past.

A developer who bought this famous house—once owned by Joanne Carson and frequented by Truman Capote—turned to designer Dorothy Alon, founder of Sophea Interior Design to elevate the home back to its former glamour. Alon notes that Ironsbridge is one of her favorite Cambria designs because it has beautiful, perfect, warm colors with a subtly abstract pattern that makes it timeless.

#2: Create Drama with a Waterfall Countertop

Waterfall countertops are an increasingly popular design trend in today’s kitchens and bathrooms. Unlike a typical countertop that is installed over your lower cabinets and ends at the edge, a waterfall countertop is achieved by extending the countertop material over the edge and down to the floor—creating a dramatic effect. We’re seeing waterfall countertops most often in spaces that get a lot of use—like kitchens and bathrooms—so it makes sense to incorporate a luxury design element, like a waterfall countertop, that adds that extra touch of durability
